If there is one area in which technological innovation is constant and often quite practical, it is the automotive world, and the tire industry is no exception. For a long time now, almost all manufacturers have been injecting monumental sums of money into research and development of new products, but this year, it was Michelin that pulled out all the stops with its new CrossClimate2 tire. While no tire on the all-season tire market today excels on all standards, this new model was designed to perform in all conditions and offer maximum power and safety, no more and no less.
With a bold new tread design and a new rubber compound, Michelin engineers have created the most advanced tire in its category. Providing both grip and performance on wet and icy roads, the new V-shaped tread design also allows the tire to be more resistant to road obstacles. In fact, tests show that the CrossClimate2 is capable of lasting close to 110,000 kilometres, up to 24,000 kilometres more than other tires in its category! In other words, for some of us, this represents nearly one more year of use.

These tires of the future have piqued your curiosity? Here’s some good news: they are most likely compatible with your car! Offered in 25 sizes at the moment, with 31 more to be added in 2021, the CrossClimate2 will work with more than three-quarters of the vehicles on the road.
